Our Rancher: Before & After - The Master Bedroom.

Here we are...post #9!  After a rather underwhelming post about our guest bedrooms, this post has been a long time.  I've "revealed" our master bedroom a few times, but things never felt quite right to me.  I've been working on it's latest transformation (so. very. slowly....blame it on the hypothyroidism ;)...) for well over a year.

Like I mentioned in my hall/guest bath post, we added our original master bath and part of our largest master closet to renovate the hall/guest bath.  Since neither of those spaces were very "masterful", I had no problem giving them up...especially since I had plans to turn our third bedroom into our ensuite.

Besides creating our master ensuite, we removed some wallpaper and glue (ohhh, the glue...THANK YOU, MOM!!!), painted the walls, refinished the hardwoods, replaced the doors and windows and added some lighting.

    We are updating our first house too (a ranch!) amazing transformation. looks amazing and homey - love the walls!

      You guys did a great job. Question on the ceiling fan in the master bedroom - did you get a remote control/special wall switch to install this fan/light combo?

      Looking at purchasing this fan - let me know.

      Thank you so much! The light on the fan is controlled via a switch on the wall, but the fan itself is controlled by a cord you pull on the fan. Hope that helps!

    I'm pretty sure you know what I will say already, right? I do love love love your bedroom but a certain little fluffy guy is looking really handsome on that bedspread.

    I love what you did to the floor plans! You've definitely put in much more functional bathrooms, that's for sure. I especially love that you turned the third bedroom into two closets and a big master! Way to use what you've got to breathe some new life into your home.     I have been searching for a light fixture like you have on your ceiling fan but cant seem to be able to find it anywhere! Where di you get it? Or something similar! I want a different piece than the usual light fixtures!
