Heck, it even took me a couple
Finally, after realizing I was sick and tired of having nothing on the walls, I got busy hanging some stuff. You saw a couple things I was working on here, and shockerrrrrr...they are still not hung. But at least this blank sliver of wall went from this...
To this!
And for those of you who don't follow me already {retroranchreno...follow me!}...here is a shot of the area, a la Instagram. I just love how the fancy, intricate mirror looks next to the bold, modern pattern on our curtains.
It's SUCH a transformation, right?!?! I'll give you a minute to catch your breath after all that excitement!

Obviouslyyy, I'm kidding. I know it's not a knock-your-socks-off transformation, but every little bit of decor makes our place feel more settled, and more like home. Since I took these pictures, I've even hung two frames in that area, and bought some paint to slap up on the door. Of course, I haven't gotten around to adding pictures to the frames or actually painting the door, but every little bit counts, right?? :)
yes, every little bit counts! there is something about hanging things on walls that makes it feel more like home...isn't that weird? i hung photos in our entranceway and it instantly felt more lived-in!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, Lyndsay! Once we started hanging things, it felt so much more lived-in! :)
Deletefunny how some things it can take us forever to get around to much like myself :) love the mirror and what a perfect spot!
ReplyDeleteI know! In my head I would say, hammer...nail...done! But it just never translated into actions haha. Thank you! :)
DeleteThat mirror looks fantastic right there. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Melanie! :)
DeleteWe have little projects around the house that are pretty much done or only take two minutes and we just don't get to them!!
ReplyDeleteThat mirror looks great!
Thanks John! We have a bunch of things that are 90% done too! I know it won't take long to finish them, but something has kept us from wrapping things up completely haha. I guess that's life! :)
DeleteYour mirror looks great there! I have about a gazillion little projects almost but not quite done right now. Story of my life really.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diana! I'm happy to see I'm not alone on this...I swear, we all have a bunch of miscellaneous projects just waiting to be completed. And probably even more projects waiting to be started! ;)
DeleteLove that mirror and I adore your curtains!! Great addition to your entry way. We have lived in our house almost 2 years now and still have yet to hang much on the walls. It's embarassing really...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Christine! I can totally sympathize with you. It's crazy how time just gets away from you and before you know it months, or years, have passed!! I'm sure you'll get stuff up soon. :)
DeleteLove love love!! And I'm right there with you! If it's something little, as in it doesn't take much up much room and/or time, I always seem to put those off, when I could just get them knocked out in a couple hours! Haha oh well you're right...every little bit helps! Your mirror is purty!
ReplyDeleteAt least I'm not the only one that it happens to! Phew! :) And thank you very much!!
DeleteThe mirror looks great! I need to work on gathering mirrors because our house could really use some!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ashley! I love mirrors and how they just bounce like around a room. I keep thinking I have too many up, but I can't help it. I love that they can lighten up a space! :)
