Thrifty Finds.

Everyone here knows I'm a sucker for making over thrifty Craigslist finds.  I've prettied up a buffet, painted/reupholstered some dining chairs, painted bedroom furniture, painted a dresser-turned-console-tablemade-over a pair of nightstands, reupholstered a bench and spiffed up a file cabinet.

Occassionally I find myself browsing through listings, even when I'm not looking for something specific.  If I come across a well-priced item, it will most likely come to live with us...in our basement...until I find a "home" for it. ;)

You guys might remember that scenario happened with the campaign furniture I stumbled upon {yup, still untouched in our basement}...and now, it's happened again.

These two mid-century beauties will be alllll mine {for only $100} come Saturday!  I cannot wait.  LOOK AT THOSE LEGS!

CANNOT RESIST.  Anyone else a sucker for a great piece of Craigslist furniture?!?!

  1. These are awesome!!!! Craigslist in the DC area can be disappointing...if the item is good the seller knows it and prices accordingly :(

    1. Thanks Lindsay!! A lot of items are definitely overpriced on Craigslist around here (NJ), but occassionally I'll find someone who doesn't know what they are getting rid of...and I hop on it!!

  2. That's amazing!! I can never seem to find anything on CL. And the other thing that sucks is that we both drive Sedans....so on the off-chance that I have ever found something I like, the seller wouldn't deliver even if I paid for it. Boooooo!

    1. We both have sedans too...but this deal was too good to pass up. Normally, I ask if the seller can drop it off {which has happened a couple times for me}, but this time we are borrowing our friend's SUV to pick it up. Thank gosh for good friends! :)

  3. Amazing! Those are great finds! Craigslist isn't very big out here, so it's hard to find anything good. Can't wait to see what you do with these!

  4. These are awesome! Although I don't think it's fair that you got both the campaign furniture AND the mid-century modern furniture. Great finds!!!

    1. Yes, doooo it! I'm not sure what direction I want to go in yet, but I will definitely do something to make the legs stand out from the rest of it. I'm unreasonably excited about these pieces haha.

  10. Me! I'm a sucker for Craigslist furniture. It is one of my obsessions. Most of my blog's facebook page is dedicated to sharing local (Baltimore/Washington D.C.) Craigslist goodies. So excited for your little wooden beauties!

  11. I am always on the look out on CL, but people here have not so pretty things, and those not so pretty thing are way over priced. I recently saw someone else on bloggy world redo a dresser with those same exact legs, and I absolutely fell in love with the piece, now I just need to find one so I can join the club.

  16. Those are great pieces. We drove by a storage place that was having reduced rates and my husband said "we should get you a storage place then you can buy all the things you want." I still can't decide how to take that. I love looking at craigslist. I need to buy a house with a lot of rooms so I can furnish them with great finds.
